The International Art Dance Organisation will be at the Olympic Games, currently being held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to launch the newly established Art Games. The IDO is been represented by its President, Michael Wendt and the IDO Lifetime Honorary President Bill Fowler.

The Arts Games is proud to be an independent organization and has a mutually supportive relationship with the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The Arts Games shares with the Olympic movement the idea of Olympism, a philosophy of life which places arts at the service of humanity. The IDO recently signed a contract with the Art Games Committee (IAC), where Michael Wendt has been appointed the Arts Dance Commissioner. The Art Games will be held in Montreal, Canada from the 12th to 21st January 2018.

The IDO is very excited in preparing to launch the Art Games at the Rio Press Media Centre at the Olympic Games. The IDO will be exclusively responsible for the dance division at the Art Games, where the IDO, under its contractual obligations will ensure to be the supplier for dance excellence from around the world. At the press conference, Michael Wendt will be making a presentation on the Art Games dance auditions and competition and the IDO representatives will be available to answer any questions to invited guests and world-wide media from the IOC.

As I informed the AGM in Gibraltar in June 2016 and the Asia / Asia-Pacific Conference in Seoul, Korea two weeks ago, the IDO has accepted an updated contract between The ArtsGames and IDO. The IDO will be the “Supplier of Excellence in Dance” – the sole one. The contract has been counter signed by the IDO president and the Executive Secretary in Seoul Korea a week ago.

Now “everybody” is excited, preparing the launch of The Arts Games at the Rio Media Center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This is the Press Center of the Olympic Games 2016.

The Press conference will take place in 3 days on Thursday August 11, 2016 – 10:00 am Brazilian time (-3 hours GMT)

The IDO-President and ArtsGames Dance Commissioner, Michael Wendt, as well as the IDO Lifetime honorary president, Bill Fowler, will be responsible for the dance-parts.

Ende Juni tagte die IDO (International Dance Organization) in Gibraltar. Viele Länder nahmen bei der IDO-AGM mit ihren Offiziellen Präsidien teil. Für Deutschland war unsere Präsidiumsspitze dabei, Ralf Josat und Carsten Rott.

So eben ist die 3. TAF Wertungsrichter Schulung HipHop in Lübbecke zu Ende gegangen und TAF darf sich wieder über 12 neue Lizenznehmer freuen. Die Schulung wurde von Thomas Püttmann-Lentz und Alexander Cristian moderiert und der Austausch und die Diskussionen waren nach der zuvor grad beendeten TAF DM HipHop besonders erfrischend und engagiert. Wir sagen Herzlichen Glückwunsch!

Am vergangenen Freitag fand, am Vorabend zur TAF Süd-Südostdeuschen HipHop Meisterschaft, die erste Wertungsrichterschulung für HipHop im diesem Jahr statt. 2 1/2 Stunden wurde geschult, produktiv diskutiert und es wurden viele offene Fragen beantwortet. 10 Teilnehmer freuen sich über den Erhalt ihrer Wertungsrichterlizenz (HipHop) für dieses Jahr und 2017 und 5 weitere dürfen sich, nachdem sie das "Probe Werten" erfolgreich bestanden haben, ebenfalls "Wertungsrichter für HipHop in TAF" nennen."
